Midland Motive Performance

Privacy policy

Last updated 10 October 2026

This policy explains what personal information Midland Motive Performance collects when you get in touch or book work with us, what we use it for, who we share it with and the rights you have over it. We only collect what we need to quote for and carry out work on your vehicle.

Who we are

Midland Motive Performance is a mobile vehicle tuning and in-car technology business based in the East Midlands, UK. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy.

Contact us about anything in this policy by email at midlandmotiveperformance@gmail.com or by phone on 07727 185892.

What we collect

  • Your name and contact details: phone number and, if you give it, your email address.
  • Your vehicle details: registration, make, model and year.
  • What you tell us about the job, such as the work you’re interested in, your area or postcode and any message you send.
  • Booking and job details, such as the date and location of the work, what we did and what you paid.

We don’t ask for, and don’t want, sensitive information such as health or financial details.

How we get it

  • The enquiry form on this website.
  • Our Facebook and Instagram adverts, when you fill in an enquiry form inside the app.
  • When you call, text or WhatsApp us, or message us on Facebook or Instagram.
  • The gains checker on this website: when you enter a registration, it is looked up to find your vehicle and its expected gains. We don’t store a registration unless you then send us an enquiry.

How we use it

  • To reply to your enquiry and give you a quote.
  • To book, carry out and follow up on work on your vehicle.
  • To keep business, accounting and tax records.

We won’t send you marketing messages unless you ask us to, and you can tell us to stop at any time. We never sell your information.

Our legal reasons

Under UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018) we rely on:

  • Contract: to quote for and carry out the work you ask for.
  • Legitimate interests: to answer enquiries and run our business, such as following up on a quote you asked for.
  • Legal obligation: to keep the accounting and tax records the law requires.

Who we share it with

We only share your information with the services we use to run the business:

  • AdSimpler, who build and host this website and manage our advertising. Enquiries sent through this website are stored securely by AdSimpler and emailed to us.
  • Hosting, database and email services used to run this website and deliver your enquiry to us (Vercel, Supabase and Resend).
  • A vehicle data service, which receives the registration you enter in the gains checker to identify your vehicle.
  • Meta (Facebook, Instagram and WhatsApp), when you contact us through their apps or fill in one of our adverts’ enquiry forms. Meta’s own privacy policy also applies there.
  • Our accountant, and the authorities where the law requires it.

Some of these providers may store data outside the UK. Where they do, they use safeguards recognised under UK law, such as the UK’s adequacy regulations or approved contract clauses.

Cookies

This website doesn’t use advertising or analytics cookies. Some of its fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which receives your device’s IP address to deliver them but doesn’t set cookies. If we add tracking in future, we’ll update this policy and ask for your consent where the law requires it.

How long we keep it

  • Enquiries that don’t lead to any work: up to 12 months, then deleted.
  • Customer, job and invoice records: 6 years, as required for tax and accounting.

Your rights

You have the right to:

  • ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
  • ask us to correct it if it’s wrong;
  • ask us to delete it, where we don’t need to keep it by law;
  • object to, or ask us to restrict, how we use it;
  • ask for it in a format you can pass to someone else.

To use any of these rights, email midlandmotiveperformance@gmail.com. We’ll reply within one month. It’s free unless a request is clearly unfounded or excessive.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, please tell us first so we can put it right. You can also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Keeping it safe

Your information is sent over an encrypted connection, and only we and the services above can access it, each only as far as they need to.

Changes to this policy

We’ll update this page if the way we use personal information changes. The date at the top shows when it was last updated.
